TerraSond Precision Geospatial Solutions has commenced its work with the F/V Miss Alyssa, based in Dutch Harbor, to perform the geophysical route survey for the subsea cable. Jimmer McDonald, owner of the F/V Miss Alyssa in cooperation with the on-site TerraSond crew outfitted the vessel the with technical gear required. The purpose of the survey is to prepare for the required two power and communication subsea cables over a 4 mile route connecting the Makushin Geothermal Plant's electrical output and control to the City of Unalaska.
Jimmer McDonald was the pioneer for essential services in welding, diving and vessel security in the Dutch Harbor area.
