Unalaska will benefit from lower electric bills to the consumer and industry, and consistent utility rates. In addition to powering the City, geothermal power will stimulate Unalaska's involvement in additional sustainable industries such as agriculture and kelp farming, accommodating advanced technologies, installing green energy infrastructure, appealing to eco-tourism and adventure travel."
