Is the existing Unalaska power grid strong and resilient enough to handle the 30MW Makushin power plant to seamlessly come on line? OCCP and the City of Unalaska met with and agreed to contract with Electric Power Systems (EPS) of Anchorage, Alaska to assist in determining the strength and resiliency of the City existing power grid. The study will identify and quantify infrastructure improvements and associated costs necessary to allow delivery of electrical power from MGP cable(s) land fall to all current and potential electrical utility customers.
